As a 31-year-old living with a breast cancer diagnosis and a young mother worrying about my future and my young daughter’s future, I don’t need people to buy another pink-ribbon product in my name.

What I need, what anyone living with and dying from breast cancer needs, is a breast cancer organization that’s working tirelessly to make sure people’s health comes before corporate profitBreast Cancer Action is that organization.

I’ve lost too many friends to breast cancer in the past couple years. And we ALL know someone who has been diagnosed with or died from the disease this past year. That’s why I’m urging you to join me today in making a donation in honor of someone you love so this incredible organization can continue their vital work. They need you now!

Breast Cancer Action has always balanced the needs of people living with and at risk of breast cancer, never putting one in front of the other—and never putting either second to corporate interests. They are the ones that you call for science-based, patient-centered information when you or someone you love is diagnosed with the disease. They tell it like it is and they do it with compassion and kindness.

We’ve all seen too many friends, colleagues, and loved ones receive a cancer diagnosis. We stand close by and do what we can to help them.

One thing you can do today in honor of your loved one is to give as generously as you can to Breast Cancer ActionHelp make sure they have the resources they need to accomplish their mission of achieving health justice for all women at risk of and living with breast cancer.

I know you’ve been getting a lot of emails from Breast Cancer Action, but that’s because their funding comes from people like YOU and they can’t do their work without your support.

We need Breast Cancer Action, and they need you.
