Last chance! Get your ticket: Action Speaks Louder Than Pink dinner on Thursday

By Ayelet Waldman, New York Times bestselling author & social commentator

I hope to see you on Thursday at our dinner for thoughtful foodies, benefitting Breast Cancer Action. If you haven’t gotten your ticket yet – don’t worry, it’s not too late.

I’m a longtime BCAction donor and supporter and I’m thrilled to be the master of ceremonies for the great night we have planned, featuring a delectable four course dinner.

BCAction’s second annual Action Speaks Louder Than Pink – Food for Thought event is a great opportunity to eat well, think critically, and meet other members of an incredible activist community of which I’m proud to be a part.

Action Speaks Louder Than Pink – Food for Thought
October 25, 2012
6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Technique Restaurant
350 Rhode Island Street, San Francisco, CA

I got a sneak peek of the menu and it looks amazing. We’re honored to bring together celebrated local chefs from Bay Area restaurants, including Millenium Restaurant, Hillside Supper Club, and The Plant Cafe, who are preparing a delicious four course dinner for you. They are generously donating their time, talent and all the food. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

If this is your first time, let me assure you this is not a typical breast cancer fundraiser. There is no pinkwashing, cheerleading, or sugarcoating. But we’ll have plenty of inspiration and activism as we celebrate a decade of demanding change and getting results through the award-winning Think Before You Pink® campaign.

Bring your friends and join us for an evening of great food, fierce activism, and inspiring company.

Breast Cancer Action relies on individuals like you and me to continue their hard-hitting education and advocacy work because they don’t take any money from anyone who profits from or contributes to cancer. This event is a great way to support BCAction’s work – all food and auction items are donated so your ticket purchase directly benefits Breast Cancer Action.

Thank you for being part of this powerful community of activists. I look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

Thank you to our generous event sponsors: Bi-Rite Market, Anonymous, and Plumbline Coaching and Consulting, Inc.
