health insurance denial smallYesterday, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) broke down the true cost of the GOP healthcare bill. If this bill becomes law, an estimated 51 million people under the age of 65 years old would be uninsured by 2026. That’s 23 million more people without insurance than under the current law—reversing the progress of the ACA and then some.

Don’t let this cruel and deadly bill get one step closer to the President’s desk.

TAKE ACTION TODAY! Tell your Senators to stand up for our healthcare!

As a grassroots breast cancer watchdog, it’s our job to make sure everyone knows there’s a human being behind every number. We will not let this administration threaten the lives of people we love because they can’t get the healthcare they need.

Access to affordable healthcare is life or death for women at risk of and living with breast cancer. And the CBO found that this bill would put access to healthcare out of reach to those who need it most. The report stated, “People who are less healthy (including those with pre-existing or newly acquired medical conditions) would ultimately be unable to purchase comprehensive nongroup health insurance at premiums comparable to those under current law, if they could purchase it at all.

Contact your Senators NOW! Tell them to improve and build upon the successes of the ACA by moving toward universal healthcare, and not make the same mistakes the House did.

We can’t afford to sit quietly on the sidelines while the Senate working group secretly tinkers with its own version of the bill.

We need to shut this down. Join us.

In solidarity,

The BCAction team
